In separation and divorce one of the most contention issues is spousal support. The purpose of support is to compensate and put the dependent spouse in a position to look after themselves and their family. In Collaborative law the parties are able to enlist financial planners and insurance agents to put in place financial products and plans that will look after the dependent spouse as well as the children and their future education need and special needs if they apply.  In a constructive way the parties can look for solutions that work for them and much more innovative then what a court could order.   This will address the fears that many separating dependent spouse have as to their future economic well being and that of their family. With these fears addressed and elevated settlement is much easier to obtain.
